Designing Your Handgun Grips
This Build Sheet is designed to help you identify the various safety, slide release,
and back strap pin cuts which are available on all of the handgun grips we sell.
When ordering a pair of our handcrafted handgun grips, please use the Order button
located directly below each pair of gun grips pictured for sale on this website. The order form which
appears will not only ask you various questions regarding the configuration of your handgun, but
will also help you select a combination of hardwoods, carbon fiber, and colored liners which
will give you a truly unique and exceptional pair of handgun grips.
Need help placing an order? Please feel free to call! One of our master craftsman will be more
than happy to answer all of your questions and make sure that the grips you order
will be a perfect match for your firearm.
In order to insure that your grips will properly fit your firearm, there are
a number of items which we need to verify before beginning to handcraft your
hardwood grips. These items are as follows:
1. Extended Slide Cutout
If your handgun has an extended slide, we will need to know that
before we begin construction of your handgun grips. If you do not
specify an extended slide, we will design your handgun grips with
a cutout for a traditional slide.
2. Extended Safety (Left Side Grip)
If your handgun has an extended safety (one that extends almost back
to the middle of the grip), we will need to know that so that we
allow sufficient room for the safety to operate properly. If the
safety length is not specified, we will design your handgun grips
with room for a traditional safety release.
3. Extended Safety (Right Side Grip)
Please let us know if your handgun has an ambidextrous safety (a safety release
on the right side of the handgun). If you do not specify an ambidextrous safety,
no safety release will be cut into the right side grip.
4. Back Strap Pin Cutout
If you would like a cutout at the base of each grip to accomodate a backstrap
pin, please specify when ordering.
5. Presentation Full Cut or Flat Full Cut Base
A Presentation Full Cut Base will be angled up from the base of the handgun at
approximately 45 degrees. Figure A shows the bottom bevel on a Presentation
Full Cut Base as seen from the back of a handgun.
A Flat Full Cut Base has a square cut base. Figure B shows the flat base of a
Flat Full Cut Base as seen from the back of a handgun.
6. Type of Hardwood or Material Desired
Be sure to pick out the hardwood or composite material which you would
like to use for your custom handgun grips!
Please Note:
We can only design a set of grips which will fit your handgun if you provide
us with accurate information regarding the configuration of your specific
handgun. Changes to the handgun grips which are required due to inaccurate
information received from the customer will be subject to additional charge.
